Sun. March 27

We were up and got things rounded up for our trip to Houston to head for home.

We left Vidor at 11:30 it was a 2 hr drive to the Hobby airport.

Our flight from Houston was 3:49pm we got into Denver 5:30 pm.

Once again we were in the first row seats.

We only had to wait 15-min to board the plane for SLC.

This flight we were in row 9.

We arrived in SLC 7:30 by the time we picked up our luggage and caught the bus to the truck it was 8:30.

We had rain in through Ogden, just out of Garland we had snow that blinded you that you could hardly see the lines on the road and then we had fog.

From Snowvile to home it was okay.

We arrived home around 11pm.

Monday March 28

Woke up to an 2" inches of snow.

We had a good time and Kate like everything she eat except for Alligator and crawfish. She wants me to make Chiken and Dumplings, Gummbo, and Strawberry Truffle.

Blake's House

Sat. March 26

We packed up and cleaned up the Beach House and we were out of there by 10 am.

We were going to Vidor to Blake's house. We were having a crawfish bake.

We arrived at Vidor we unpacked and then Kurtis took us to Dollar General where he used to work to visit a gal who worked there.

We then went to Beamont to see where he works.

We got an Ice Cream Cone.

We came back to Vidor saw where Blake and his Dad works.

We went to Blake's Folks house and had the Crawfish bake with Blake's Family.

Fri. March 25

This was the Highlight of our trip was going to the Houston Temple with Blake and Kim, Kurtis, Kevan and myself.

Jacob and Kate stayed at the Beach House.

After the Temple we eat at a sandwich place.

We headed back to the Beach house around 4pm.

We ran into traffic jam because of an accident.

We arrived at the Ferry around 6:30pm. There was long lines of traffic trying to get across.

We finally loaded the ferry around 8pm.

Jacob had started dinner we were having chicken and dumplings, and Kurtis made a Strawberry Truffle.

It was super good.

Thurs. March 24

Today we went to Houston to go to the Mall the Gallaria.

We spent the whole day here.

Kurtis and Jacob purchased a toy helicpoter, and Kate a license plate.

Dad & I had a Ice Cream Cone for lunch while they others eat at the mall.

It takes between 2-3 hrs. to drive from the beach house to Houston.

On our way back to the Beach house the traffic was heavy.

Kurtis took pictures of Houston area on his cell phone and I think he put them on Facebook.

Day 2 of vacation:

Kurtis, Jake , Kevan and Blake woke up 3:30 am to drive to Houston to go golfing.

Us girl's stayed at the Beach house.

Kate and I sat on the porch catching some rays and I crochet a baby afagan.

Then Kim and Kate and I played of the Beach for a hour or so.

Kate and I got sunburned.The guys returned around 4pm.

We then went to Glaveson to eat at the Rainforest.

We then went to Walgreen's to get stufff for my sun burn.

Going back and for we had to ride the Ferry. On some of our travel on the ferry we saw 2 dolphins swimming in front of the boats.

We drove back to the Beach house. Blake fixed ribs. We sat outside around the fire pit and just talked. We ate and went to bed. This was the end of day one of our stay in Texas.

We are seating outside the restaurant. We all tried it the alligator. Kate didn't like it.

It takes like Chicken except it is tougher.

These turtles were inside the shop.

These were inside the store. They had a souvenir shop and a restaurant they have shows with Big Al. They did not have a show not enough people to do it. The trainer was nice enough to get Big Al to hiss and open his mouth for us.

This is Big Al he is the biggest and oldest Alligator there.

They had alot of alligators and turtles here. They had 4 ponds with alligators and turtles.

After play at the Beach we went to Gator Country.

Spring Break

Sunday March 20, 2011

After going to church we came home eat lunch packed the

truck and headed to motel in Salt Lake City.

On Sweatser Pass it started to rain we had rain on and off until we got the Tremonton it started to snow and was coming down in big flakes that the wipers had a hard time keeping the windows clean so you could see out of them. It stopped snowing just out of Ogden.

At the Motel we played the game Sequence Jacob and I bet Kevan and Katelyn. Kevan did his church work and we kept an eye on the College basketball scores.

Mon. March 21st.

We were up and checked out of the Motel by 8:00 am.

We got to the Airport and on the bus to Frontier Terminal by 8:30.

As we got off the bus Kevan and my big suitcase had ripped.

When we checked our luggage in we had to borrow tape from them and Kevan taped shut. You could say he taped it like I would tape Christmas present but better. We had to sign a waiver saying it was that way that the airlines had nothing to do with it.

We went through security pretty good except for Katelyn she deeped.

She was wearing her belt with all the studs in it. Once she took it off she was good to go. I think she was a little nervous. She also had to take off her Jacket also.

We waited to board the plane for more than a hour.

Finally we boarded the plane we had front row seat. Dad sat next to a large man, then Jake sat next to Dad. Then there was me and Kate and a gentlemen sat by window.

our flight left 10:20am.

This was Jake and Kate's first time flying. Take off wasn't that bad.

I enjoyed the free cookie they served them hot.

We arrive at Denver airport 11:50 am.

We had 2 1/2-3 hr. layover in Denver. I Crocheted to pass the time.

We ate a Quizno's Sandwhich. Kate did not want to eat or do any thing. She just sat there and listened to her music.

We boarded the airplane and once again we were in the front seats.

Dad and I sat by each other and Jake and Kate.

We had a nice flight attendant that talked to us on take off and landing. She drove her car and a u-haul from Ore.to Denver she drove passed Twin Falls.

We arrived in Houston airport 6:30pm. We got our luggage and it was only 2-3 min. Kurtis picked us up in Blake's Truck. We went to Crystal Beach just out of Galveston.

We arrived at the Beach house about 9pm. Blake had fixed us Gumbo for dinner it was good. Katelyn really liked it. To me it smells kind of like stir fry.

We talked until about 11pm we went to bed.

Tues. Mar 22nd.

We were up by 8am. Kevan was doing work on his laptop.

Kim & Blake and Kurtis, Kate, & Jake I went to the beach.

It was around 70 degrees with a the wind blowing. It was nice.
